In the 1980's the Irish dealer was Fergus Byrne with a company called Remidex. They installed many Kardex machines in leading manufacturing plants of the time such as TEAM Aer Lingus Maintenance at Dublin Airport, Abbott in Sligo, Lufthansa Technik Airmotive in Rathcoole, Kostal in Abbeyfeale and Brawn in Carlow.
Kardex bought this company in the late 1990's and the staff transferred over. The key employees at the time were Aidan Shelley in sales in Eugene Caulfield in service, who worked on until retirement in the mid noughties.
Kardex has a long history of product development going all the way back to 1892.
